Meet the artist

 

I am Vasiliki, the thoughts and dreams behind Rocketsack.

I’m an artist with a mission to inspire life enhancing thoughts and actions!

Born in Patras, Greece, I have lived in many cities around Europe including Paris, Nice, Porto, Lisbon, London, Athens, Bath, Bournemouth and more!

This exposure to culture, landscape and architecture inspires a lot of the work you will see in my collections. Having experienced plenty of Mediterranean summers and witnessed all sorts of bloomed gardens and parks I realised there is importance in the, often neglected, graceful encounters of our daily life. 

Rocketsack creations are inspired by what I’ve seen, loved, learnt. I aim to give emphasis on the beauty and brilliancy around us. Let's appreciate the things that contribute to a better living, a meaningful experience and a necessary support! 

Random facts about me:

- There is this dream of mine where I own an olive grove and produce olive oil of incredible quality!

- I am, also, a Personal Trainer and Pilates Teacher and... I studied Business Management and Marketing. How all these come together with art. Well... long story!

- I speak 4 languages (Greek, English, French and Portuguese) - all with a Greek accent.

- I don't drive and have both motion sickness and amaxophobia (feeling anxious or fearful when in a vehicle). These don't make me any less confident or independent but I have been seen as such by many. 

- I adore the smell of greek coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice!

 

 

What is Rocketsack?

The word "Rocketsack" itself is a portmanteau from the words rocket and sack.

It is completely made up (not quite a rucksack) and implies imagination, adventure and exploration.
